The OWAD project introduced at the GBCC 2018

The OWAD project, its core objectives, activities and project territory, was presented to a large audience of the Global Biodiversity Conservation Conference (GBCC) in Prague on 26 September. The event took place on September 25-26, 2018, in the Congress Hall of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The 5th international conference on practical protection of biodiversity under the auspices of the Minister of the Environment, Richard Brabec, focused on the following topics: human transformation of ecosystems and its effect on biodiversity, use of modern technologies in biodiversity conservation, and fight against wildlife crime. Current knowledge and practical examples had guided listeners thoughout projects conducted in the European landscape and tropical regions of Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
