Excursions to Saxony and knowledge transfer

In Saxony on 9th April 2018, representatives of the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of the Environment and the Agrarian Chamber were informed about the wolf management there, especially from the practical side.

The Saxons have had experience with this beast for more than 17 years, and have managed to create a management plan for 60 institutions and associations that works well for everyone. As the number of wolves in the Czech Republic increases and the damage caused by the wolf to livestock is increasing, the Czech Republic is also actively working to ensure that all interested groups are properly informed about what it means to them and how to prevent possible damage to their property. The OWAD project (Objective Wolves Acceptance in human-altered cross boundary landscapes) allows this exchange of experience with Saxony.
