Discussion about the Saxon wolf management plan

Representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic and Faculty of Environmental Sciences visited German colleagues on February 28 to discuss the current version of the Saxon wolf management plan. The document has been in force since 2009. All-day meeting in Moritzburg has brought valuable background information about the preparation and implementation of the Saxon care plan for this animal. The evaluation of the Saxony binding document, which is expected to be updated soon, is one of the basic project activities of the Ministry of the Environment and will help to develop a Czech management plan. The rich experience in the field of wolf population conservation and access to damages, public work and other important aspects was shared by Helene Möslinger and Gesa Kluth from LUPUS and Bernd Dankert of the Saxon Ministry of the Environment.
